Dr Katherine Woolf is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Lead for Research at University College London (UCL) Medical School. She is educational consultant to one of the world’s largest postgraduate medical examinations, the Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (UK) and honorary Research Associate in UCL’s Division of Psychology and Language Sciences.
A psychologist by background, Katherine’s expertise lies in understanding why ethnicity impacts on doctors’ learning and performance, and in shaping policy to improve educational outcomes for doctors from minority ethnic groups, thereby improving patient care.
It is absolutely fantastic to be shortlisted for the Women in the City Future Leaders Award, and to be ranked alongside such impressive women from a wide variety of professional backgrounds.
This award is so important in recognising women’s abilities and encouraging them to fulfil their potential, as well as driving forward positive change within the UK’s most prestigious and powerful organisations.
