The work of Women in the City has been driving real, positive change in the culture of financial services for over a decade. I am honoured to be able to participate in this year’s event, and delighted to give my full support to its efforts to promote, recognise and reward the role of female talent in this exciting industry.
Lynn Maxwell has been a Managing Director at HSBC’s London-based Debt Capital Markets (DCM) business since 2009. Her team is responsible for Structured Products globally, covering securitisations, structured finance derivatives and structured covered bonds.
Lynn has experience arranging structured finance transactions across multiple asset classes in Europe, Canada, USA, Brazil, China and Australia. She also advises governments and regulators on strategy and developments in the structured finance space.
During her time at HSBC, Lynn has established a DCM mentoring scheme and is a founding participant in the Women in Markets Group.
Prior to HSBC, Lynn was a senior structurer at BNP Paribas and before that practised law at Clifford Chance, with specialisation in securitisation and Stikeman Elliott.
Lynn holds a graduate law degree from the University de Paris 1, a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts (Poli Sci) from McGill University. She is FCA approved, a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and the Law Society of Upper Canada.
