One of our 2012 Future Leaders Award Finalists, Rachel Bulford, joins this year’s Adjudication Panel to help select the 2017 shortlisted candidates who will go forward for interview by the Main Judging Panel.
A Cambridge graduate Rachel started her career at Marks and Spencer where she held a number of different roles including working in UK stores and latterly in International Development in India, South Korea, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine.
She continued her career within luxury fashion retailer Burberry’s retail operations team in emerging markets. After achieving an MBA with distinction at Cass Business School Rachel went on to work at OC&C Strategy Consultants where she undertook a number of assignments across FMCG, Hospitality and Retail.
Rachel then headed up central operations and store proposition at Homebase.
In her current role as Head of Retail at Gatwick Airport Rachel over-sees Gatwick’s 82 shops and 36 restaurants which include Harrods, Ted Baker, SuperDry, Jo Malone, Comptoir Libanais and Bruno Loubet’s Grain Store Café and Bar.
