In today’s busy world we all work globally – sometimes we fly and visit but mostly we just sit. At our desks, workstations or in video conferencing rooms whilst the world, in all its diversity comes to us. This ease of access can lead us to a false sense of comfort – we may believe that we understand our international counterparts but do we really?

Richard’s presentation takes a brief but profound dive below the surface of day to day international business encounters to explore what is really going on and provides tips on how to be more effective and to grow your cultural savvy in an increasingly complex world.

Richard Cook is an international OD cultural management consultant, trainer and coach, specialising in helping clients achieve success in global business environments.  He  has worked with international clients for the last twenty-five years and has lived and worked in North and South America, Japan, Africa, the Middle East and Europe for extended periods on international assignments.

Richard’s beliefs and values reflect a pursuit of excellence through delivering consultancy, training and coaching that is challenging, of optimum quality, and meets the specific needs of clients.

Richard employs a wide range of skills in the design and delivery of his training programmes which have included Negotiating in an International Context; Managing International Meetings; Cultural Issues In International Business; Presenting Internationally; Interpersonal Management Skills Across Cultures; International Teambuilding. He is also a qualified Master NLP practitioner.

Richard has considerable experience working with senior management and with managers responsible for international teams.
He has worked with professionals in the field of Law, Finance, Retail, Telecommunications, Medicine, Insurance, Oil Production, Media, Engineering, Banking and Investment.
