I am delighted to be a finalist for the Future Leaders Award. It is an honour both humbling and inspiring. Congratulations to all the talented and accomplished women who were nominated, and many thanks to Women in the City, partners and sponsors for recognising and developing London’s future women leaders.
Renee joined ThoughtWorks in 2004 and has been a strong leader for our clients and our worldwide organisation. As a Client Principal, Renee works at the most senior levels with customers, and holds great responsibility within ThoughtWorks, helping us become a role model for 21st century socially responsible companies. Sincerely balancing the needs of clients, ThoughtWorks and her individual team members, Renee’s open and pragmatic management style has proven to be very effective in building trust with her teams and clients.
Quite passionate about social and economic justice, for the past few years Renee has led a team of volunteers in the London borough of Hackney to help young children there gain an interest in technology by teaching them how to build websites.
She holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and received the Thiokol Award for Excellence in Engineering and Design for her Senior Design Project.
Renee returned to work following maternity leave having been promoted to Head of Operations.
Renee was Client Principal at the time of becoming Finalist and received her promotion following maternity leave.
